I call him the Jason Nelson guy..=P he is of course is very funny >_<.
Today's lecture was about open source software. Open-source software is apparently "transparent" which I think means you can have a look at the source yourself, and if you see any errors or whatever you can fix them up yourself. However, if you're like me and lazy as well as completely computer illiterate, its not so good because open-source stuff doesn't get updated all too often.
Download.com provides all your basic needs, like if i need Anti-virus program for free..=P There's an open-source of 'Photoshop' alternative out there called "Gimp". And an animation program or something called "Blender", that apparently is pretty good considering it's free and all. >_<..
Interesting..? my dad always told me we don't get free lunches in this world. Um.. lets just say he doesn't have much friends. xD
There's also Open Office, which looks bad for Microsoft Word =P, I get my mac office for free..I have connections per se. Since Microsoft and Dell are lame to include Micro Office on my computer and I would've had to spend over like $150..eh.. technology these days. >_< everything is like needs to be updated!!
